We offer Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths at Level 1 and Level 2. Exams may be available throughout the year, subject to centre capacity and awarding-body availability.

Unlike qualifications that run only in a fixed summer exam series, Functional Skills assessments may be available at different points during the year.

Four weeks’ advance notice
Please submit your application at least four weeks before the date on which you hope to sit the assessment. This gives us time to check availability, review your details and process the entry.

Your application in four steps
Follow this process to help us confirm your assessment as quickly as possible.
Choose your qualification
Select English or Maths and make sure you choose the correct level: Level 1 or Level 2.
Apply in good time
Submit your application at least four weeks before your preferred assessment date.
Wait for confirmation
Our exams team will check availability and contact you if any information is missing or needs clarification.
Attend your assessment
Once confirmed, we will provide the relevant date, arrival information and assessment instructions.

Employers, colleges, universities, apprenticeship providers and training organisations may have different entry requirements. Please confirm whether you need English or Maths and whether Level 1 or Level 2 is required before making your booking.
